hirify.global is an early-stage software startup providing "optimization-as-a-service" with an AI engine to link on-site control systems to manage energy assets.

What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve core backend services for the optimization platform, focusing on APIs, orchestration, and system boundaries.
• Own integrations with external EMS platforms and customer systems, designing clean and resilient APIs.
• Take responsibility for production operations, including CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Design for scalability and reliability, proactively identifying bottlenecks and improving observability.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of features, from concept to production, within a small, cross-functional team.
• Influence architecture and mentor peers to raise technical standards at hirify.global.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building and operating production-grade backend systems.
• Deep expertise in Python, including FastAPI, asyncio, relational databases, and SQLAlchemy.
• Comfortable in cloud-native environments and experienced with DevOps workflows like CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
• Strong architectural intuition, designing robust and extensible solutions.
• Possess a founding mindset, being proactive, hands-on, and capable of making key technical decisions.
• Enjoy working with strong engineers and maintaining high technical standards.
• Must work onsite-first in Munich to foster collaboration and speed.

Nice to have

• Experience with InfluxDB or other time-series databases.
• Interest in energy systems or optimization algorithms.
