What you will do

• Own the technical roadmap for bank connector infrastructure, including screen scraping, open banking APIs, and data aggregation.
• Lead and develop an engineering team, establishing best practices and testing frameworks for high-reliability financial integrations.
• Drive an AI-centric approach using LLMs to accelerate connector development and automate maintenance.
• Manage observability and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve bank-side connectivity issues.
• Partner with the VP of Banks and commercial teams to prioritize coverage and expand the US bank footprint.
• Stay current on open banking regulatory developments and API standards to keep the connector strategy competitive.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in technical leadership or engineering management.
• Deep experience building financial data integrations, bank APIs, or payment connectivity infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of AI-assisted development and using LLMs to automate testing or monitoring.
• Strong operational expertise in running high-reliability production integrations.
• Experience with open banking standards such as Plaid, MX, or Finicity is strongly preferred.
• Must be based in or able to work from San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)
