What you will do

• Provide leadership and mentorship to engineering teams including software engineers and technical business analysts.
• Partner with product and design stakeholders to align engineering priorities with business goals and product roadmaps.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle from design and development to testing and production maintenance.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture while managing performance and career development.
• Act as a player/coach to guide technical discussions, remove delivery obstacles, and support production systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, software engineering, or computer science.
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading engineering teams building backend services.
• Proficiency in Go, C#, or .NET.
• Experience deploying and supporting microservices in public cloud environments (GCP, Azure, or AWS).
• Must reside within 70 miles of specified office locations.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven architectures and RESTful API design.
• Background in leading products from inception through production launch.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices, automated testing, and observability.
