Sr Software Dev Engineer, Network Capacity Services (AWS)

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable solutions for network capacity management and optimization.
• Create and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems for network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with network engineers, finance, supply chain, and operations teams to forecast infrastructure needs.
• Drive technical decisions and architectural improvements to solve scaling limitations.
• Mentor team members and contribute to the overall growth and expertise of the engineering team.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure the stability of production systems.

Requirements

• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
• Proven track record in leading the architecture and design of reliable and scalable systems.
• Professional software development experience (excluding internships).
• Proficiency in at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
• Active software development experience within the last 3 years.
• Location: Must be based in or be able to work from Dublin, Ireland

Nice to have

• Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, and operations.
