Design Engineer - Mechanical

Location: Shah Alam, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia

What you will do

• Operate Siemens NX, EPLAN fluid diagram, Teamcenter, SAP, and other CAD systems in daily engineering work.
• Create new parts and redesign existing parts or sub-assemblies for customer requirements, manufacturing improvements, cost, and functionality.
• Participate in interdisciplinary teams to identify and prioritize redesign opportunities.
• Coordinate design changes and processes with German and French counterpart teams.
• Support production, technical, procurement, and other departments with solutions for assembly, delivery, quality, safety, specifications, and jigs or fixtures.
• Perform safety analysis of existing and new designs and follow formal design release procedures.

Requirements

• Degree in mechanical engineering with excellent academic results.
• Strong knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD design software, including Siemens NX, fluid diagrams, Teamcenter, SAP, 3D CAD animation, and simulation.
• Knowledge of raw materials, surface treatment, manufacturing processes, and industrial standards.
• Experience with geometrical and dimensional tolerancing and the ability to analyze projects from feasibility through industrialization.
• Good English communication skills are required.
• Strong analytical capabilities, interpersonal skills, responsibility, ownership, and commitment.
