Equity Analyst & Reporter

Location: Hybrid position based at CNBC Headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey; office attendance is required a minimum of three days per week.

Salary: $100,000–$125,000 yearly.

What you will do

• Identify compelling investment opportunities through research, analysis of company financials, and evaluation of market trends.
• Interview C-suite executives, analysts, and investors to gather firsthand insights.
• Assess balance sheets, income statements, valuation metrics, and changes in company prospects.
• Develop well-sourced investment ideas and actionable perspectives for CNBC audiences.
• Write financial content and explain investment analysis clearly on air.
• Collaborate with newsroom teams in a high-intensity, deadline-driven environment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience writing similar content for a major publication.
• Strong journalistic writing, research, and investment-analysis skills.
• Passion for investing and identifying trends on Wall Street.
• Ability to understand company fundamentals, financial statements, and valuation metrics.
• Established relationships with Wall Street investors and analysts are advantageous.
• Unrestricted work authorization in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Published investment ideas that became successful.
• MBA and/or CFA credential.
• Experience analyzing companies.
• Experience in a fast-paced digital newsroom.
