What you will do

• Build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Life Insurance sector, including product structures and regulatory frameworks.
• Architect and maintain detailed, integrated financial models and valuation frameworks for covered companies.
• Interpret regulatory filings, macroeconomic indicators, and industry trends to generate actionable insights.
• Draft fundamental research reports, including quarterly earnings previews/reviews and thematic industry pieces.
• Respond to ad hoc inquiries from institutional clients, equity sales force, and investor relations teams.
• Collaborate with global GIR teams to leverage data analytics tools and contribute to cross-sector research.

Requirements

• Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills with a strong foundation in accounting and corporate finance.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for articulating complex financial concepts.
• Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel.
• Must be based in New York, NY, United States.
• Experience with market data tools such as FactSet, Bloomberg, or Reuters.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of relevant experience in equity research, investment banking, actuarial consulting, or corporate finance.
• Solid working knowledge of Life Insurance products and reserve analysis.
• Knowledge of insurance-specific accounting standards (GAAP, Statutory, and LDTI).
