Salary: $150,000–$225,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus

What you will do
- Develop deep expertise in the life insurance sector, including annuities, universal life, term products, regulatory frameworks, and actuarial concepts.
- Build, update, and maintain integrated income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and valuation models for covered companies.
- Analyze statutory filings, GAAP/LDTI disclosures, macroeconomic indicators, and industry trends.
- Write fundamental research reports, including earnings previews and reviews, company deep dives, and thematic industry analysis.
- Respond to inquiries from institutional clients, equity sales, trading desks, and investor relations teams.
- Collaborate with global Global Investment Research teams on data analytics and cross-sector research.
Requirements
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills with a strong foundation in accounting and corporate finance.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with FactSet, Bloomberg, or Reuters is preferred.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to deliver institutional-grade work under tight deadlines.
- Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in equity research, investment banking, actuarial consulting, rating agencies, or insurance-industry corporate finance.
- Working knowledge of life insurance products, reserve analysis, and GAAP, statutory, and LDTI accounting standards.
