Technical Lead (React)

Location: Brazil; contract position for candidates based in Brazil. Initial contract term is 3 months, with potential extensions.

What you will do

• Lead and guide development teams, including providing technical and line-management leadership.
• Take responsibility for successful project delivery and resolve blockers proactively.
• Work directly with clients to translate business and technical requirements into technical briefs and digital applications.
• Shape architectural decisions focused on scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Uphold software development, DevOps, and agile best practices within the team.
• Provide project status updates to clients and organizational leadership to support effective decision-making.

Requirements

• Significant software engineering experience as a Senior Engineer leading projects and mentoring or as a Technical Lead, ideally using React.
• Experience working directly with clients or customers to understand technical requirements.
• Experience leading software engineering teams through technical delivery, with direct line-management or mentoring experience.
• Strong understanding of agile practices, software design patterns, test-driven development, testing best practices, and Git.
• Understanding of DevOps practices, cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and operational concerns including monitoring, performance testing, security, accessibility, and GDPR.
• Must be based in Brazil.

Nice to have

• Experience with a headless CMS, ideally Contentful.

Hiring process

• 30-minute introductory talent call via Zoom.
• One-hour live technical assessment via Zoom involving JavaScript coding.
• 45-minute hiring manager interview, with a possible additional client interview depending on the project.
