Tech Lead (Java/AWS)

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a small team of 2–3 software engineers.
• Remain hands-on while guiding architecture, engineering standards, and technical decisions.
• Deliver scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native products on AWS.
• Improve delivery flow, remove blockers, and build a “build it, own it, run it” engineering culture.
• Champion testing, CI/CD, observability, DevOps, and operational excellence.
• Work with Product, Design, and business stakeholders to deliver customer and business value while encouraging practical use of AI tools.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background and experience delivering production systems.
• Previous experience leading engineers or small delivery teams.
• Strong Java and JavaScript development experience.
• Practical AWS and cloud-native architecture experience.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, Agile product development, and modern engineering practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, plus experience using AI tools to improve software delivery and engineering workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with serverless or event-driven architectures.
• SaaS, platform, or data product experience.
• Experience improving engineering maturity, operational excellence, or team performance.
• Familiarity with Team Topologies or modern engineering operating models.
