Staff Enterprise Systems Engineer (DevOps)

Location: United States

Base pay: $126,000–$201,600 in Colorado, $126,000–$222,800 in Washington, $126,000–$244,000 in California, and $139,200–$244,000 in New York City, annually. The role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end infrastructure lifecycle for n8n and related AI workflow tools, including environments, containers, clusters, storage, networking, secrets, and integrations.
• Build secure, governed multi-environment platforms with standardized CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, security controls, and reusable templates.
• Define SLOs, metrics, logging, alerting, and operational practices that improve reliability, reduce MTTR, and lower change failure rates.
• Apply AI to incident triage, anomaly detection, capacity forecasting, change-risk assessment, IaC, CI/CD, security policies, and runbooks.
• Partner with architecture, security, and platform teams to align the platform with software maturity and engineering governance standards.
• Mentor engineers and citizen developers while raising DevOps, automation, AI adoption, and operational excellence standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering for SaaS or large-scale distributed systems, with production ownership.
• Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including networking, security groups, load balancers, and managed Kubernetes or equivalent orchestration.
• Hands-on expertise with Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code, multi-environment infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines with testing, security scanning, and artifact management.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows, DNS, TLS, routing, firewalls, secure secret management, logging, monitoring, SLOs, and alerting.
• Experience supporting shared or multi-tenant platforms and using AI tools in daily engineering or operations with measurable impact.
