Senior Energy Engineer – Talent Network (Open Interest) (Energy Efficiency)

What you will do

• Independently perform ASHRAE Level II energy audits.
• Develop and rationalize energy savings calculation methodologies.
• Apply advanced knowledge of HVAC systems, BAS, controls, RCx, and industrial systems.
• Author IPMVP-compliant measurement and verification plans and reports.
• Provide technical guidance and training to program teams while mentoring junior engineers.
• Act as a subject matter expert and champion innovative energy-saving solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in energy efficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred. A master’s degree is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ASHRAE auditing, M&V protocols, and energy modeling.
• Ability to independently perform ASHRAE Level II audits and lead technical strategies.
• Professional certifications such as PE, CEM, or CMVP are preferred.
• Must be based in California for this remote role; hirify.global does not provide visa sponsorship.
