TL;DR

Bookkeeper (Property Management): Maintaining accurate financial records and delivering reporting across multiple properties with an accent on bank reconciliation and trust account management. Focus on reconciling data between Buildium and QuickBooks Online, calculating owner draws, and ensuring compliance with NARPM guidelines.

Location: Remote (Must be based in Latin America: Colombia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Belize, or Dominican Republic). Working hours: U.S. Business Hours (EST)

Salary: $1,500–$2,000 USD/month

What you will do

  • Reconcile multiple bank accounts across properties and buildings using Buildium.
  • Maintain and update QuickBooks Online files for multiple LLCs according to NARPM guidelines.
  • Manage accounts payable, monitor vendor invoices, and prevent billing discrepancies.
  • Calculate monthly management fees and process owner draws accurately and on time.
  • Generate monthly financial reports and summaries for internal review and property owners.
  • Collaborate with property managers to ensure accurate billing, invoicing, and vendor payments.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience, specifically within property management or real estate.
  • Hands-on experience using Buildium and proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
  • Must be based in Latin America (Colombia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Belize, or Dominican Republic).
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work according to U.S. Business Hours (EST).
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and bank reconciliations.

Nice to have

  • Experience managing books for multiple LLCs.
  • Familiarity with NARPM Chart of Accounts and Florida landlord-tenant financial practices.
  • Experience preparing owner statements and managing trust accounts.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
