What you will do

• Maintain accurate books and records for multiple property management accounts using cash-based accounting.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions and reconcile bank statements.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for property owners and manage tenant ledgers, including deposits and rent collections.
• Assist with year-end tax preparation, audit support, and closing processes.
• Ensure strict compliance with property management accounting standards and maintain organized audit trails.

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience specifically in property management or real estate.
• Proven experience with AppFolio is required.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain precision under tight deadlines.
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).

Nice to have

• Experience with trust accounting and escrow management.
• Familiarity with property management financial reporting such as Rent Rolls, Trust Account Balance, and Budget Reports.
