What you will do

• Develop HAMR sputter processes to improve media ADC and mechanical performance to meet product timelines.
• Design experiments (DOE) to identify and understand process windows and margins.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve alloy and process-related defect issues.
• Transfer new product processes into mass production and continuously optimize to meet customer requirements.
• Act as the technical lead for sputter projects.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Material Science, Magnetic Recording Physics, or related engineering disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of thin film sputter processes and HAMR technology.
• Experience in magnetic recording media process R&D, including magnetic characterization tools and data analysis.
• English: Proficient speaking and writing skills are required.
• Location: Must be based in Singapore (Woodlands).
