Salary: $155,000–$175,000

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications with a focus on performance and video streaming.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to implement new features and scalable mobile products.
• Optimize app performance, memory usage, and network efficiency for a smooth user experience.
• Integrate video playback technologies including HLS/DASH and DRM across various devices.
• Ensure high code quality through test automation, peer reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Participate in architecture discussions and influence key technical decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Deep knowledge of Kotlin and Java, with familiarity in Jetpack libraries and Compose.
• Experience with MVVM, Clean Architecture, and scalable mobile app patterns.
• Strong understanding of video streaming (HLS/DASH/CMAF) and media playback.
• Experience with CI/CD, testing frameworks, and crash analytics tools.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid model at the Englewood Cliffs, NJ office.

Nice to have

• Experience with consumer-facing apps with high user engagement.
• Knowledge of accessibility, localization, and device fragmentation.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Firebase.
• Experience with media, publishing, or news applications.
