Senior Android Engineer (Fintech)

Location: New York City, NY or Menlo Park, CA; in-person attendance required at least 3 days per week.

Base pay: $196,000–$230,000 USD annually for Zone 1 locations, including Menlo Park and New York; other compensation zones are listed in the posting. Additional bonus, equity, and benefits are available.

What you will do

• Build intuitive, stable Android experiences for retirement, advisory, recurring investments, recommendations, onboarding, settings, deeplinks, and shared product surfaces.
• Lead product features from ideation and technical design through implementation, testing, and release.
• Use Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android APIs to deliver scalable mobile experiences.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and Data Scientists.
• Improve code quality, scalability, maintainability, and engineering standards.
• Mentor junior developers and influence architecture decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional Android application development experience.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java, with strong knowledge of the Android SDK and MVVM architecture patterns.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines and Flow or RxJava, Retrofit, and Room.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with a product-focused mindset.
• Ability to mentor peers, lead complex projects, and influence architecture decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
