Senior Android Engineer (Fintech)

Location: New York City, NY or Menlo Park, CA; in-person attendance required at least 3 days per week

Base pay: $196,000–$230,000 USD annually in Zone 1; $172,000–$202,000 in Zone 2; $153,000–$179,000 in Zone 3

What you will do

• Build stable, intuitive Android experiences for retirement, advisory, recurring investments, recommendations, onboarding, settings, and deeplinks.
• Lead product features through ideation, technical design, implementation, testing, and release.
• Develop Android applications using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android APIs.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and Data Science.
• Champion code quality, scalability, maintainability, and strong engineering practices.
• Mentor junior developers and help improve team standards and collaboration.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional Android application development experience.
• Proficiency with Kotlin and/or Java, Android SDK, and architecture patterns such as MVVM.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines and Flow or RxJava, Retrofit, and Room.
• Ability to lead complex projects and influence architecture decisions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with a product-focused mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
