Compliance Lead (Data Protection)

What you will do

• Act as an independent second-line expert in Data Protection and Compliance risk management.
• Advise, monitor, and challenge risks related to individuals and data subjects arising from personal-data processing.
• Implement ING Group Compliance risk-management frameworks and ensure local policies, processes, and controls align with them.
• Assess the design and effectiveness of first-line controls and oversee entity-level Compliance Risk profiles.
• Report risks and monitoring results to local and global risk and compliance functions.
• Develop risk strategies, training plans, and awareness initiatives for management and employees.

Requirements

• Advanced academic degree with technical or disciplinary expertise and management knowledge.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in compliance, data protection, risk management, auditing, or another control function.
• Fluent written and spoken English required.
• Strong communication, influencing, critical-thinking, decision-making, and data-driven collaboration skills.
• Ability to apply risk considerations to new processes, technologies, areas, and innovations.
