What you will do
- Develop and maintain governance frameworks, policies, standards, procedures, registers, and compliance evidence across UK business units.
- Monitor legal, regulatory, contractual, privacy, information security, and internal policy compliance.
- Develop and deliver risk-based internal audit programmes, produce reports, and track corrective actions through completion.
- Support certified management systems, external certification audits, surveillance activities, and regulatory outcomes.
- Facilitate risk assessments, incident management, supplier assurance, third-party risk management, and compliance investigations.
- Advise operational, technical, legal, HR, and leadership stakeholders during acquisitions, integrations, product launches, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Professional experience in compliance, governance, risk, information security, privacy, quality, or regulatory roles.
- Strong understanding of governance frameworks, management systems, internal audits, and compliance programmes.
- Knowledge of UK GDPR and broader regulatory compliance obligations.
- Experience supporting ISO 27001 and/or ISO 9001 management systems.
- Experience with ISO 42001, NHS DSPT, DCB0129, DCB0160, UKCA, or MHRA compliance, preferably in SaaS, software, healthcare technology, or regulated technology environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, organisational, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of AI governance and emerging regulatory frameworks.
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or multi-business group environments.
- Professional certifications in compliance, governance, auditing, information security, privacy, risk management, or quality management.
