Compliance Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Remote

Salary: $110K–$130K per year

What you will do

• Monitor the Compliance Portal and improve processes for compliance and risk escalations, inquiries, issues, and enhancements.
• Support the development and implementation of compliance programs and enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Research regulatory requirements and contribute to risk assessments, written programs, and compliance testing.
• Build and enhance reporting for management and banking partners, analyze trends, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Perform control testing, investigations, complaint responses, and support regulatory inquiries and examinations.
• Collaborate with risk and compliance colleagues and multiple business lines on audits, testing, reporting, and documentation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in audit, compliance, or risk management.
• At least 3 years of experience partnering with internal business stakeholders.
• Ability to translate complex ideas and data into clear narratives for key stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, research, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to interpret regulatory information, manage complex assignments independently, and deliver accurate work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple lines of business in a fast-changing environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech or with a sponsor or partner bank.
• Scripting experience in SQL.
• Compliance, risk management, or data analytics coursework or certifications such as CRCM.
• Experience with data systems or reporting tools.
