What you will do

• Oversee the production of detailed substation design packages including general arrangements, structural details, and bill of materials.
• Manage team scheduling, project planning, and workload forecasting to ensure operational efficiency.
• Mentor and coach team members to support their technical and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC processes and maintain accountability for project accuracy.
• Coordinate with project managers and directors to track budgets and mitigate project risks.
• Support business development and client relationships to ensure ongoing satisfaction.

Requirements

• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or civil engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience with expertise in physical substation design.
• FE licensure is required; PE licensure is preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of NEC, NESC, and IEEE codes and standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with structural substation engineering (steel design, reinforced concrete, foundations).
• Ability and desire to stamp engineering drawings.
