Director of Electrical Engineering (Revit)

Location: Hybrid in Roanoke, Virginia, USA

Base salary: $100,000–$145,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Lead, supervise, guide, and train a multidisciplinary team of electrical engineers.
• Develop electrical system designs, calculations, equipment selections, reports, studies, and project specifications for building projects.
• Design and evaluate systems for healthcare, higher education, commercial, local government, and other market sectors.
• Conduct existing-building surveys, document electrical systems, research code compliance, and coordinate work with other disciplines.
• Provide construction administration and perform QA/QC reviews of design work.
• Serve as the primary client contact and support business development, client relations, and project interviews.

Requirements

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical design.
• Familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and design guidelines.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, and engineering calculation or performance simulation software.
• Ability to prioritize work across shifting projects and deadlines and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer license.
• Experience managing engineering teams.
