Electrical Technical Lead (Electrical Engineering)

Location: Plymouth, Michigan, United States — hybrid; travel up to 15%

What you will do

• Provide technical direction and oversight for electrical engineering projects, including complex design decisions, constructability, code compliance, and project risks.
• Own electrical discipline standards and quality expectations, and oversee QA/QC reviews for accurate and coordinated deliverables.
• Improve design standards, workflows, tools, and technical processes.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Team Leaders, and other disciplines to resolve technical challenges and support project schedules and client commitments.
• Act as a subject matter expert in design reviews and client discussions.
• Coach and mentor engineers and designers while assessing technical capabilities, training needs, software, and discipline resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in an MEP consulting firm.
• At least 5 years of leadership management experience.
• Institutional education experience is required.
• Active Professional Engineer licensure is required; ability to seal drawings when needed.
• Experience building strong teams, maintaining client relationships, achieving measurable client-satisfaction results, and participating in AEC professional networks.
