Controller, Business Units

Location: Hybrid in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States — onsite at the South Charlotte headquarters Tuesday through Thursday and fully remote Mondays and Fridays.

Total cash compensation: $200,000–$250,000 per year, including target bonus. Equity is offered separately.

What you will do

• Own financial accuracy, revenue, costs, profitability, and monthly close processes for assigned business units.
• Lead regulatory and international audits, resolve findings, and coordinate with business leaders, corporate accounting, and external auditors.
• Analyze revenue trends, cost structures, margins, and financial performance to support leadership decisions and investment planning.
• Ensure consistent application of accounting policies, standards, internal controls, and enterprise reporting requirements.
• Provide financial oversight for strategic projects and M&A, partnering with Tax, Legal, and shared services teams.
• Contribute to ERP governance, systems transformation, automation, and standardization initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA certification.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including Controller or senior accounting leadership experience.
• Experience with business-unit or divisional accounting, revenue recognition, cost management, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Experience leading external or regulatory audits and maintaining strong internal controls and risk mitigation practices.
• Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and AI tools such as Claude; Workday experience is a strong plus.
