Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

Location: Based in the Los Angeles office, California

Salary: $175,000–$215,000 base salary per year, plus bonus and equity

What you will do

• Own annual budgeting, long-range planning, rolling forecasts, monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and operational reviews.
• Build and maintain a bottoms-up three-statement operating model with driver-based assumptions and scenario planning.
• Prepare executive- and board-level reporting packages and partner with leaders across Sales, Operations, Engineering, Product, and Design.
• Support Series D fundraising, investor materials, financial due diligence, and strategic planning with the CEO, CFO, and Board.
• Manage the debt capital stack, including purchase-order financing, accounts-receivable financing, and a term loan, with responsibility for draws, covenants, and compliance reporting.
• Maintain the rolling 13-week cash flow forecast, monitor liquidity and covenant headroom, and escalate risks to the CFO.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of finance experience, including at least 3 years at a bulge bracket investment bank with capital markets execution experience or equivalent.
• Experience with three-statement modeling, scenario analysis, driver-based financial frameworks, and Excel financial modeling.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite or Rillet.
• Strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and ability to move quickly.
• Ability to work from the Los Angeles office.

Nice to have

• MBA or CFA.
• 2+ years of FP&A experience at a Series B or later-stage retail or CPG company.
• Experience supporting Series C+ equity raises, managing debt facilities, working capital financing, and treasury operations.
• CPG or retail industry experience.
