FP&A Manager (Robotics)

Location: New York City or Pittsburgh; on-site

Salary: $175,000–$226,000 annual base salary, excluding bonuses, equity, and other compensation.

What you will do

• Own the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-range plan across revenue, gross margin, headcount, spending, and cash flow.
• Partner with commercial and operations teams to forecast revenue, cash, delivery capacity, and deployment schedules.
• Lead monthly financial reviews, explain performance against plan, and coordinate corrective actions with business owners.
• Analyze profitability by customer, contract, and offering, including delivery costs, utilization, and project risks.
• Build scenarios for hiring, pricing, spending, and capital investments, and prepare analyses for leadership, the board, and investors.
• Support fundraising and M&A through financial models, valuations, due diligence, investor materials, and post-close tracking.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or venture capital.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong financial modeling and analysis skills with advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency.
• Experience connecting the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow and explaining financial assumptions clearly.
• Solid understanding of accounting and financial statements, including bookings, recognized revenue, billing, and cash collection.
• Ability to work with incomplete data, challenge assumptions, communicate across functions, and manage competing deadlines.

Nice to have

• Finance experience at a growing technology company combining software, hardware, services, or complex customer projects.
• Experience with contract or project profitability, field operations, capacity planning, or government and industrial customers.
• Experience with planning systems, SQL, business intelligence, automation, or AI tools in finance.
• Experience supporting fundraising, M&A, financial due diligence, or board and investor reporting.
