Salary: $220,000–$265,000

What you will do
- Lead and develop a high-performing platform team while fostering a culture of experimentation and growth.
- Set the vision and roadmap for shared services, including AI platform capabilities, authentication, and shared libraries.
- Partner with product, design, and cross-functional teams to prioritize initiatives that drive business growth.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with Staff engineers on durable, scalable platform architecture decisions.
- Monitor and improve the reliability, performance, and developer experience of shared services.
- Drive the adoption of AI-powered development tools and platform capabilities across the engineering organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production software at scale.
- 3+ years of experience managing technical engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be based in the United States.
- Experience leading platform, shared-services, or developer-experience teams.
- Strong understanding of systems design, scalability, and application security best practices.
- Experience directing AI coding agents (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) in a team setting.
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech or startup environments.
- Familiarity with TypeScript, Node.js, React, AWS, PostgreSQL, and Terraform.
- Experience leading identity, authorization, or notification systems at scale.
- Experience deprecating legacy monoliths in favor of service-oriented architectures.
