Staff Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Design and implement data pipelines and datasets for emerging threat and campaign investigations.
• Build production services that expose security data to internal users in near real time.
• Develop scalable, maintainable systems for large, messy, high-volume datasets using modern cloud services.
• Build and maintain shared platform services, improve observability, strengthen reliability, and review architecture.
• Lead technical discussions, simplify shared systems, and guide implementation across projects and engineers.
• Ensure testing, monitoring, alerting, documentation, and long-term maintainability.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in at least one of Java, Golang, Node.js, Scala, or Go.
• Experience designing, building, and operating production software in a public cloud environment.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL, including MariaDB and MySQL, and recent hands-on experience with Elasticsearch.
• Experience building backend services, data pipelines, or other high-volume distributed systems; comfort with Linux/Unix and CLI-based workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS data and serverless services such as SQS, Lambda, Glue, or Spark.
• Experience with large-scale analytics or near-real-time data processing systems.
• Familiarity with containers.
