TL;DR
Senior Backend Engineer, Security Automation (AI/ML): Building and maintaining automation tools and services for SOC operations, bot detection, fraud mitigation, and phishing detection with an accent on Python, microservices, Kubernetes, and secure software development. Focus on designing scalable security workflows, integrating observability and reliability practices, and solving complex operational challenges with security analysts and engineers.
Location: Remote; listed locations are Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Wrocław, Poland. A final in-person interview and identity verification will be conducted in the candidate's country of residence.

What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain automation tools and services supporting core Security Operations Center operations.
- Manage the full lifecycle of automation systems from requirements through deployment.
- Streamline security workflows using microservices, Kubernetes, Python, and message queues.
- Collaborate with security analysts and engineers to address complex automation and operational challenges.
- Research security and automation standards and identify technologies that strengthen defenses.
- Improve reliability, observability, scalability, and operational efficiency through automation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend software development experience.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with microservice-based architectures.
- Strong knowledge of programming best practices, design patterns, and testing methodologies.
- Experience writing secure code and applying OWASP security principles.
- Solid experience with SQL databases and familiarity with Docker and containerized development workflows.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical teams.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or other orchestration platforms.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies or frameworks.
- Participation in bug bounty programs or security research, such as contributing public CVEs.
- Knowledge of browser and network security, modern web architecture, web automation frameworks, or Linux environments.
