Cybersecurity Strategist (Future Opportunity)

Location: Hybrid role with onsite work in Arlington, Virginia; candidates must be located in the National Capital Region.

Salary: $89,649–$152,404 annually

What you will do

• Support project and program management for strategic cybersecurity collaboration initiatives with industry partners.
• Develop and maintain project plans, operational plans, program management plans, and POAMs.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement, correspondence, meetings, and collaboration with government and private-sector partners.
• Coordinate and facilitate joint cyber defense exercises and training events.
• Assist with incident response plans, procedures, and information-sharing initiatives.
• Monitor operational plan effectiveness, identify cyber threats and vulnerabilities, and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• Active Department of Defense security clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Must be located in the National Capital Region.
• At least 5 years of professional experience.
• Ability to travel for client events several times per year.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, incident response coordination, project management, and collaboration across government and private-sector organizations.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information systems, or a related field.
• Consulting experience with federal government clients, preferably in a national security setting.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CEH.
• Experience with Confluence or Jira.
