TL;DR

Sales Engineer (Networking/Cybersecurity): Driving technical sales activities for enterprise accounts with an accent on network monitoring architectures and proof of concept (POC) delivery. Focus on designing complex observability pipelines, performing technical presentations, and managing end-user technical relationships in the Southern California region.

Location: Must currently reside in or near Orange County, CA and be willing to travel across the greater Southern California region and Hawaii.

Salary: $224,000 - $240,000 (base + commission)

What you will do

  • Provide technical pre-sales support for all hirify.global products and solutions.
  • Design network monitoring architectures and create detailed logical design diagrams for customers.
  • Lead customer proof of concepts (POCs) and product evaluations from deployment to completion.
  • Deliver in-depth technical presentations to customers, partners, and at industry events.
  • Manage key end-user technical relationships and provide guidance on technology and competitive trends.
  • Act as a communication driver between the field and corporate teams on technical issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3-7 years of experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer in networking, cybersecurity, or Cloud/AI.
  • Must currently reside in or near Orange County, CA.
  • Solid understanding of network fundamentals and the OSI model (specifically Layers 1-7).
  • Proficiency with Wireshark or similar packet analysis tools and diagramming tools (Visio, Lucidchart).
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and revenue targets.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Cisco, VMWare, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience with network taps, packet brokers, or NPM/NDP tools.
