Telemedicine Veterinarian II

Location: Remote within the United States; hiring in AZ, AL, CO, FL, IN, ID, IA, KY, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, and WA. Schedules include evenings, weekends, and some late-night shifts up to 3:15 a.m. EST. Occasional travel of less than 10% is required.

What you will do

• Provide virtual veterinary care focused initially on small-animal health and well-being.
• Evaluate whether telemedicine is appropriate and conduct patient assessments consistent with standards of care.
• Diagnose, prescribe, create treatment plans, establish virtual VCPR, and obtain informed consent where required.
• Educate and support pet parents through virtual consultations.
• Maintain accurate medical records and complete consultation documentation promptly.
• Support veterinary subject-matter initiatives, affiliate teams, new-hire training, and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, Veterinary Medical Doctor degree, or equivalent.
• Authorization to practice within the United States; international graduates must provide proof of ECFVG or a foreign equivalent.
• Current veterinary license in good standing in at least one U.S. state, with the ability to obtain and maintain additional licenses as required.
• At least 3 years of small-animal veterinary practice experience or equivalent.
• Computer, teleconferencing, veterinary-tool, documentation, listening, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Access to high-speed internet and a quiet, dedicated workspace suitable for video consultations.
