What you will do

• Manage end-to-end billing operations, including customer profiles and revenue calculation packages.
• Reconcile billing-related balance sheet accounts, deferred revenue, and bank accounts.
• Own the collections process, monitoring overdue invoices and resolving payment disputes.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Compliance, Legal) and external state agency partners.
• Compile financial reports for revenue calculations and support external audits.
• Assist in implementing new billing software and automating reconciliation workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or finance operations.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid from the Austin, TX office.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech or financial services.
• Familiarity with government-administered programs (e.g., 529 plans).
