What you will do

• Validate that regulatory obligations are accurately mapped to existing controls.
• Guide and support junior team members in performing quality control checks.
• Recommend improvements to 2LoD processes and ensure best-practice alignment.
• Review work performed by regulatory compliance SMEs with high attention to detail.
• Communicate review findings and actionable feedback to stakeholders.
• Refine compliance methodology and adapt approaches to evolving process changes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance within a fintech, financial institution, or consultancy.
• Track record of interpreting laws and regulations from Colombian regulatory bodies (SFC, URF).
• Ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance to team members.
• Knowledge of industry best-practice regulatory compliance controls.
• Fluency in English required.
• Results-driven, pragmatic, and highly detail-oriented mindset.

Nice to have

• Degree in law.
• Experience managing teams and individuals.
• Exposure to assurance or internal/external audit.
• Familiarity developing or applying compliance test scripts.
• Relevant compliance certifications (ICA or CISI).
