TL;DR

Salary: Pay rate is $9,075.24/mo with approx. annual salary of $104,714 to $136,000

What you will do

  • Maintain and repair the fleet of equipment operated by BNSF.
  • Disassemble, repair, modify, manufacture, overhaul, and troubleshoot roadway maintenance equipment.
  • Work on hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel (gasoline/diesel), and driveline/final drive systems.
  • Operate manual, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools, including welders and cutting torches, to perform and verify repairs.
  • Perform daily work in a safety-sensitive environment with extreme weather and heavy/moving machinery.

Requirements

  • Travel to job sites on the designated seniority region and states; extensive travel is required.
  • Work authorization: able to work now and in the future without BNSF assistance (including H-1B, STEM OPT/CPT, or TN nonimmigrant status).
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • English communication required (able to read, write, and communicate).
  • Two years minimum verifiable mechanical work experience or training; plus experience with gasoline/diesel engines on large industrial equipment.
  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License minimum (Class A upon requirement) with air brake endorsements or ability to obtain within first 60 days.
