Commissioning Provider (Engineering)

Location: Remote, United States; travel up to 75%

Salary: $90,000–$140,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses

What you will do

• Manage commissioning processes for assigned building and infrastructure projects from planning through warranty walkthroughs.
• Coordinate with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
• Review project plans, specifications, contracts, schedules, design documents, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Develop commissioning scopes, plans, reports, systems manuals, and project-specific test scripts.
• Conduct site observation visits, facilitate meetings, witness onsite testing, and document results.
• Resolve commissioning issues and serve as the primary client contact while supporting project financial administration.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant commissioning, construction, or facilities experience may substitute. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of equivalent MEP construction, commissioning, and project management experience may substitute for a related bachelor’s degree.
• Experience managing multiple projects from start to finish and providing team leadership.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, organizational, and client-service skills.
• Knowledge of built-environment engineering, local energy codes, LEED commissioning requirements, and construction drawings.
• Ability to understand and act on project financial information.

• Project Management Certification.

• OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety and NFPE-70E certifications.
• Building Automation Systems knowledge and field experience.
