What you will do
- Review and interpret Commercial General Liability (CGL) and related policies to determine coverage.
- Investigate and manage claims involving premises liability, bodily injury, and property damage.
- Draft coverage position letters, including reservations of rights and denials.
- Negotiate settlements within authority while balancing legal exposure and client objectives.
- Coordinate with insureds, claimants, witnesses, and defense counsel to drive resolution.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Insurance requirements and internal standards.
Requirements
- 7–10+ years of experience handling General Liability claims.
- Active adjuster licenses and willingness to obtain additional licenses as needed.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills with experience in coverage analysis.
- Ability to independently manage a full caseload from inception through resolution.
- Experience with bodily injury and property damage claims.
- Must be based in the United States.
Nice to have
- Experience handling non-trucking liability or commercial auto exposures.
- Background in habitational or pet care-related liability claims.
- Experience working within program business or TPA environments.
- Experience managing litigated claims and working with defense counsel.
