Salary: $141,426 – $172,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Guide technical approaches for mechanical subsystems, ensuring alignment with system-level performance and environmental requirements.
• Provide technical oversight for subcontractors and suppliers, reviewing design packages, CAD models, and test plans.
• Develop and mature mechanical architectures, packaging concepts, and interface definitions for complex hardware.
• Support integration, troubleshooting, and demonstration activities for radar sensors, unmanned systems, and payloads.
• Identify technical risks and drive mitigation plans across internal and external multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to bid and proposal activities, including technical writing and engineering cost estimates.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
• 15+ years of experience in mechanical subsystem research, design, development, and production transition.
• Expert-level understanding of CNC machining, GD&T, additive manufacturing, and thermal management.
• Fluency with CAD and simulation tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or Ansys.
• Strong background in configuration management and engineering change processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
