What you will do

• Design, fabricate, and iterate electromechanical test rigs and fixtures to reproduce field failure modes.
• Develop accelerated life, fatigue, vibration, and environmental tests for motors and electronics.
• Integrate actuators, sensors, and data acquisition systems to capture clean failure data.
• Write Python scripts to automate test execution and data logging for high-volume testing.
• Partner with reliability engineers to translate physics of failure into representative test methods.
• Maintain CAD models and documentation for all test equipment while scaling the reliability lab.

Requirements

• Technical degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or related field.
• 2+ years of hardware design engineering experience, ideally with products shipped in volume.
• Proven ability to build, fabricate, and rapidly iterate physical prototypes.
• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems, motor control, sensors, and basic circuit work.
• Working proficiency with Python for test automation and data handling.

Nice to have

• Exposure to reliability concepts such as fatigue, life testing, DOE, or FMEA.
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
