Technical Lead (React)

What you will do

• Provide technical and line-management leadership to development teams.
• Lead the successful delivery of software projects and resolve blockers proactively.
• Translate client business and technical requirements into technical briefs and applications.
• Shape architectural decisions focused on scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Uphold software development, DevOps, and agile best practices.
• Provide project updates to clients and Nearform leadership.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Senior Engineer leading projects and mentoring or as a Technical Lead, ideally with React.
• Experience working directly with clients or customers to understand technical requirements.
• Experience leading software engineering teams through technical delivery, line management, or mentoring.
• Strong understanding of agile practices, design patterns, test-driven development, testing best practices, and Git.
• Understanding of DevOps, cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and operational concerns including monitoring, performance, security, accessibility, and GDPR.
• Strong empathy and people skills. Applicants must be based in Canada; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with headless CMS, ideally Sanity.

• Ninety-minute Technical Lead Assessment covering architecture design, technical implementation, code standards, and feedback.
• Forty-five-minute Hiring Manager Interview, with a possible additional client interview depending on the project.
