What you will do
- Prioritize, schedule, and execute projects with Engineers, Design, and Product Managers to develop and ship new features.
- Partner with Product to define and execute long-term strategy and quarterly roadmap, including goal-setting and progress measurement.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to understand requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Mentor engineers to grow technical skills and foster technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Provide technical and non-technical guidance to direct reports and lead technical conversations across the organization.
- Attract, hire, develop, and retain a high-performing engineering team.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a software engineer building production web applications.
- Minimum 1 year of experience managing a team of engineers.
- Demonstrable experience prioritizing, crafting, and achieving plans.
- Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- High empathy and strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Solid understanding of core web development technologies, including data structures, data stores, algorithms, distributed systems, and common patterns.
