What you will do

• Create complex, robust actuarial models to deliver innovative pricing solutions.
• Perform ad-hoc statistical analyses to solve diverse business problems.
• Communicate statistical results and insights to key stakeholders through reports and presentations.
• Identify and implement improvements to existing methodologies using new analytical techniques.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational improvements and business growth.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK.
• Degree (2:1 or above) in a numerate discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Physics.
• Strong academic background with A* or A grades in Mathematics and other numerate A-levels.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct independent research.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects through the full development cycle.

Nice to have

• PhD or research-based Masters degree.
• Experience in actuarial pricing or statistical modelling within a regulated industry.
• Proficiency in machine learning techniques (GBMs, Elastic Net Regression, Random Forests) using Python or R.
• Familiarity with industry-specific software such as Emblem.
