What you will do
- Partner with stakeholders to identify how pricing tools, models, and methodologies can support sustainable growth.
- Provide expert actuarial advice and act as a subject-matter expert for commercial pricing, platform teams, and proposition projects.
- Set pricing assumptions, apply actuarial judgement, and provide insight-backed justification.
- Design and implement controlled pricing models, trigger-based assumption reviews, and other capability improvements.
- Develop and enhance pricing methodologies using Python, R, VBA, and Mo.Net.
- Build product and proposition insights from data to optimize pricing and reflect underlying risk.
Requirements
- Qualified Actuary or equivalent understanding of actuarial concepts and techniques, with experience in annuity pricing and annuity investment management.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and solution-design skills.
- Basic coding and model-development ability, ideally using Python, R, VBA, or Mo.Net.
- Ability to use AI and automation to simplify work and deliver high-quality output.
- Strong written and verbal communication, influencing, stakeholder management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work from a commutable distance of the Bristol or Edinburgh office locations.
