Finance Data Manager (AI)

Location: Cardiff, London, or remote within the UK; hybrid work with occasional attendance at the London office.

Salary: £70,600–£83,000 per year depending on experience, plus performance-based incentive awards.

What you will do

• Translate financial and commercial requirements into scalable data assets.
• Collaborate with analytics engineers to improve core data pipelines and build downstream reporting functionality.
• Prepare management information and deliver actionable insights to business partners.
• Automate financial reporting and streamline finance workflows using code and AI.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business and work independently through ambiguity.

Requirements

• Solid grounding in SQL and preferably Python.
• Experience using generative AI to produce data assets.
• Experience analyzing financial and operational datasets and working with financial statements.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to translate complex numbers into clear business perspectives.
• Ability to work from within the UK and attend the London office occasionally for this hybrid role.

Nice to have

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker.
• Experience with Anaplan.
• Financial modelling, P&L management, and forecasting skills.
