TL;DR

Location: Onsite in Buffalo/East Aurora, NY

Salary: $75,000–$110,000

What you will do

  • Supervise and manage a team of 15–20 employees in a machine shop setting.
  • Develop and implement Value Stream or Production Improvement Plans to achieve high-impact results.
  • Define, track, and measure short- and long-term team goals aligned with organizational strategy.
  • Optimize personnel and equipment utilization, workflow, and cost efficiency using standard work documentation.
  • Manage hiring, training, performance evaluations, and succession planning for team members.
  • Address and resolve employee relations issues and ensure accurate time reporting.

Requirements

  • Location: Must be based in or be able to relocate to Buffalo/East Aurora, NY
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with 2 years’ machine shop experience OR Associate's degree with 4 years’ machine shop experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ direct management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills.
  • Ability to analyze production metrics and drive corrective actions.
  • Access to U.S. export-controlled information is required

Nice to have

  • Experience with lean, manufacturing, or process improvement tools.
  • Effective communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
