What you will do
- Supervise and manage a team of 15–20 employees in a machine shop setting.
- Develop and implement Value Stream or Production Improvement Plans to achieve high-impact results.
- Define, track, and measure short- and long-term team goals aligned with organizational strategy.
- Optimize personnel and equipment utilization, workflow, and cost efficiency using standard work documentation.
- Manage hiring, training, performance evaluations, and succession planning for team members.
- Address and resolve employee relations issues and ensure accurate time reporting.
Requirements
- Location: Must be based in or be able to relocate to Buffalo/East Aurora, NY
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with 2 years’ machine shop experience OR Associate's degree with 4 years’ machine shop experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ direct management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Ability to analyze production metrics and drive corrective actions.
- Access to U.S. export-controlled information is required

- Experience with lean, manufacturing, or process improvement tools.
- Effective communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
