Frontend Engineer (Robotics)

Location: On-site in Gilching, Bavaria, Germany. Remote work is available one flexible day per week.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize frontend applications for controlling and visualizing robotic swarms and sensor data.
• Build intuitive, performant, and responsive interfaces with React or comparable web component frameworks.
• Integrate APIs and support seamless data flow between frontend and backend systems.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to turn designs into functional applications.
• Maintain code quality, scalability, and maintainability through clean coding practices and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and optimize frontend performance for real-time applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and web component frameworks.
• Strong understanding of modern web development tools, concepts, and practices.
• Basic knowledge of backend systems and API integration.
• Experience with custom web-based rendering engines.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and data visualization tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, sensor data visualization, or real-time control systems.
• Knowledge of Redux, MobX, frontend build tools, or frontend testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with Node or similar backend technologies.
