Senior Frontend Engineer (React / TypeScript) - Client Technology (Fintech)

Location: Munich, Germany; opportunity to work from abroad and international relocation support are available.

What you will do

• Build and maintain client-facing web applications with React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
• Design and implement GraphQL schemas, queries, mutations, fragments, and federated service integrations.
• Contribute to a shared frontend component library and establish reusable, accessible UI patterns.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, Design, Data, and backend teams on scalable software solutions.
• Write clean, testable code with strong attention to security, data privacy, accessibility, performance, and reliability.
• Improve architecture, testing, observability, developer experience, and technical standards while mentoring peers where appropriate.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or comparable practical experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, and modern frontend architecture.
• Experience building production web applications with responsive interfaces, authentication, accessibility, performance optimization, and server-side rendering.
• Good understanding of GraphQL, including schemas, queries, mutations, integrations, and federated architectures.
• Experience with frontend component libraries or design systems and automated frontend testing.
• Professional fluency in English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience building and maintaining federated GraphQL services.
• Experience with TypeScript-based serverless applications.
• Experience in regulated, high-security, or operationally critical environments.
