What you will do

• Lead the integration and validation of firmware for IPs and custom modules in SoCs across pre- and post-silicon environments, including emulation, simulation, and SystemC modeling.
• Develop validation plans, test benches, automation, and infrastructure for power, telemetry, interrupts, memory management, and RAS features.
• Design, implement, review, debug, and validate embedded software and firmware solutions, algorithms, and system-level functionality.
• Collaborate with Platform, SoC, IP, Architecture, Design, Firmware, and Validation teams on hardware/software integration and performance benchmarking.
• Model and benchmark architectures and algorithms to improve system performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive integration validation issues through to resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years, master’s degree with 4+ years, or PhD with 2+ years of experience in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience with C, C++, SystemC, or Python.
• Experience developing and debugging firmware for embedded systems.
• Knowledge of computer architecture, storage interface standards, and system integration.
• Familiarity with design modeling, benchmarking, hardware, and software debug tools such as JTAG and gdb.
• Ability to work on-site in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States.

Nice to have

• Validation experience in core, memory, power management, manageability, telemetry, I/O subsystems, BIOS/microcode, debug, fuses, power, or performance.
• Experience with high-volume production silicon or board-level products from early SoC/IP architecture through final product shipment.
• Experience with processors, servers, system software architecture, and modeling or simulation techniques.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading cross-functional technical work.
