What you will do

• Perform structural verification of complex lifting systems for offshore, marine, and wind energy environments.
• Conduct detailed strength calculations, analyzing loads, forces, moments, and stresses.
• Review technical drawings and 3D models to ensure structural integrity and reliability.
• Utilize FEA software to analyze structural behavior, deflection, and mechanical stability.
• Collaborate with an international project team in the Netherlands to deliver safe lifting solutions.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from the Porto region, Portugal.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Structural, Calculation, or Mechanical Engineer.
• Technical degree in Mechanical, Structural, Civil, or Offshore Engineering.
• Solid knowledge of strength of materials, load cases, and structural verification.
• Experience with steel structures, welded constructions, and bolted connections.
• English: Good communication skills required.

Nice to have

• Experience with offshore, marine, cranes, or heavy machinery.
• Proficiency in FEA tools such as ANSYS, FEMAP, Abaqus, RFEM, or SolidWorks Simulation.
• Knowledge of fatigue, buckling, dynamic loading, and offshore load cases.
• Interest in AI, automation tools, and digital engineering workflows.
