ROV Supervisor (Wave Energy)

What you will do

• Lead the tendering, technical specification, procurement, and commissioning of the ROV system.
• Define operational requirements, technical interfaces, power and communications needs, deck footprint, loads, and performance criteria with engineering, project, and operations teams.
• Coordinate ROV integration with ship design and winch-system package leads and prepare the system for offshore operations.
• Develop operating procedures, risk assessments, and maintenance plans.
• Build and lead a team of ROV pilots and technicians and manage ROV operations, service, and maintenance during marine campaigns in Portugal.
• Support wave energy converter assembly, land-based testing, transportation, installation, and pilot field deployments.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in ROV operations, including at least 2 years as an ROV Supervisor or in an equivalent role.
• Experience with light- or heavy-work-class ROV systems.
• Degree in electromechanical, mechatronics, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or equivalent relevant industrial or offshore engineering experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively and prioritize work according to the project schedule.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience sourcing ROV systems, including LARS and/or ROV tooling.
