Offshore Project Engineer (Marine Operations)

Location: Hybrid in Edinburgh, Oslo, Stockholm, or Viana do Castelo. Preference is for Stockholm or Viana do Castelo, with Edinburgh and Oslo also available.

What you will do

• Prepare methods and procedures for loading, transporting, installing, connecting, and disconnecting anchors, array cables, electrical collection hubs, and Wave Energy Converters.
• Specify, select, and source vessels, deck spreads, tooling, rigging, sea fastening, and other equipment for offshore campaigns.
• Develop and continuously improve marine operations methods, procedures, policies, and processes.
• Charter and procure marine assets and equipment, and select and contract marine operators and suppliers.
• Lead the development of future marine operations methods and tooling focused on safety, cycle time, performance, and operational expenditure.
• Ensure procedures meet internal targets and requirements from customers, investors, Marine Warranty Surveyors, DNV, and underwriters; train teams in their execution.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of relevant experience developing offshore installation methods and successfully executing installations in the field.
• End-to-end experience with method development processes and installation cycles.
• Broad technical knowledge of marine operations, vessels, equipment, and operational methods, with safety as a primary priority.
• Knowledge of mooring systems, ROVs, subsea tooling, cable-lay spreads, cranes, winches, and vessels.
• Experience creating deck layouts, rigging sketches, and storyboards using 2D CAD software.
• Proficient spoken and written English required. A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in marine engineering or a related discipline may be beneficial.

Nice to have

• Experience with certification and Marine Warranty Survey methodology and documentation.
• Experience with OrcaFlex and simplified sea fastening design.
